Event Manager

This position serves as an essential link between the client and facility staff at the Egan and Dena'ina Centers, managing and coordinating all contracted and last-minute needs to assure the client receives the expected services. Must be willing to regularly work events during nights, weekends, and holidays when applicable.

Operations Manager (Egan Center)

The Egan Center is looking for an Operations Manager to join our Team! This full-time position is responsible for assisting the Director in supervising and scheduling all aspects of Operations, including engineering; building and grounds; technical services; event services, including ADA compliance; public safety; security and custodial services. Coordinates Operations activities with other building departments and show-related contractors. Implements facility rules, regulation policies and procedures. Qualifications include Bachelor's Degree from technical college with major in Management or Maintenance Engineering. Min. of 2 yrs experience in Supervising or Managing in similar facility. Additional experience may be substituted for education.

Banquet Server

Primary responsibility is to serve food, cocktails, and beverages while providing outstanding personal service to our patrons. A banquet server must have a TIPS certification (classes are taught onsite) as required by law. This is a HERE Unite Union, Local 878, part-time position. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, which will include weekends and holidays. Work hours may range from very early morning to late night. Work will be performed in many different areas of the building and off-premise. Work will involve a considerable amount of walking, lifting, and other high-exertion activities. Must be able to work in a crowded, high-activity, high-demand environment. Requires attention to detail, logical reasoning, and ability to resolve customer service issues. Must have an outgoing, positive attitude in dealing with clientele and employees.

Compensation: $7.15 - $7.45 per hour plus a percentage of service charge and tips.

Vault Accountant

Primary responsibility is to prepare and distribute banks to cash sales outlets and to reconcile inventory/deposits at the close of each function. Background checks are required prior to hiring for this cash handling position. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, which will include weekends and holidays. Work hours may range from very early morning to late night. Work will be performed in many different areas of the building. Requires attention to detail, consistency, and reliability. Must have outgoing, positive attitude in dealing with clientele and employees.

Compensation: $10 - $14 per hour

Concessions Worker/Cashier

Primary responsibility is to prepare and serve concessions foods (hot dogs, popcorn, candy, etc.), and beverages while providing outstanding personal service to our patrons. A Concessions Worker will also be responsible for cash handling/cashier duties. This is a HERE Unite Union, Local 878, position. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, which will include weekends and holidays. Work hours may range from very early morning to late night. Work will be performed in many different areas of the building. Work will involve a considerable amount of walking, lifting, and other high-exertion activities. Must be able to work in a crowded, high-activity, high-demand environment. Requires attention to detail, logical reasoning, and ability to resolve customer service issues. Must have outgoing, positive attitude in dealing with clientele and employees.

Compensation: $7.15 - $9.00 per hour plus tips

Bartender

Compensation: $8.50 - $10.00 per hour plus a percentage of service charge and tips

Porter

This is a semi-skilled Laborer's Union, Local 341 position. Responsibilities include inspecting meeting rooms to ensure they are set up properly, implementing changes and client requests for the room setups, tear downs, and cleaning of the meeting rooms, restrooms and public areas. A Porter is expected to be able to work without close supervision and to work irregular hours including day or night shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation: $9.00 - $11.00 per hour

This is a semi-skilled Laborer's Union, Local 341, position. A Matron is expected to be able to work without close supervision and to work irregular hours including day or night shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Conversions Worker

This is a semi-skilled Laborer's Union, Local 341, part-time position. Responsibilities include inspecting meeting rooms to ensure they are set up properly, implementing changes and client requests for the room setups, tear downs, and cleaning of the meeting rooms, restrooms, sidewalks and public areas. Conversions personnel are occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds and are expected to be able to work without close supervision and to work irregular hours including day or night shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation: $9.00 - $11.00 per hour
