On view September and October, artist Sheryl Maree Reilly seamlessly entwines a bevy of symbols and artifacts ranging from Polynesian blankets to Eskimo parkas, from rosaries and corporate logos to oil-stained fishing floats. She charts this broad path almost entirely in plastic, the global medium of modernity. Petroleum-derived grocery bags metamorphose back into nature — into sheaves of wheat and coiled baskets for gathering food — in service to survival.

An estimated 1600 moose roam throughout the Anchorage bowl. It's not unusual to find them munching on residents’ shrubbery, or sharing city trails.
